In the last few years, various innovative products that meet the medical and agricultural needs of Türkiye have been put on the market by Bayer. Bayer Pharmaceuticals is among the top 5 in the Turkish pharmaceutical market. In addition to being an important player in women's health, cardiology, ophthalmology, hematology, oncology and pulmonology, Bayer also has a strong position in the field of radiology. The Consumer Health Division ranks second in the OTC market in Türkiye and is the market leader in various key segments. The Crop Science Division offers innovative solutions that create value for the agricultural sector and farmers in Türkiye. The Crop Science Division in Türkiye is active in vegetable seeds, bioscience and environmental science.

Bayer Türkiye, which is among the top 20 countries in the world of Bayer, has 1,011 employees as of today and generated sales of EUR 373.8 million for 2020 in Türkiye. With its young and well-educated population, Türkiye is an attractive and long-term resource for global talent. Since Bayer's establishment in Türkiye, over 7,000 people have worked for the company in Türkiye.

Bayer's activities in Türkiye are not limited to sales and marketing as Türkiye is an important regional production and development base for Bayer. There are two production facilities for the Crop Science products in Türkiye, one in Gebze, Kocaeli and the other in Mustafa Kemal Paşa, Bursa. In addition, Bayer has an R&D Center in Antalya.

Bayer Türkiye has a partnership for the production of Bayer products in Sanofi's production facility in Lüleburgaz, Kırklareli. Within the scope of this partnership, a big step was taken in order to realize the production of an important drug in the cardiology product portfolio in Türkiye in 2020. Bayer plans to make an investment of over EUR 4.5 million. It triples the value-based production volume of the Pharmaceutical Division. With this localization project, the largest such effort in terms of value among cardiology products in Türkiye, Bayer raises the localization percentage of products in the current cardiovascular market to 40 percent.

Guided by its purpose of "Science for a Better Life", Bayer carries out many corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects in Türkiye. Bayer Türkiye has brought together more than 41,000 children with science in 10 years with the Bayer Young Science Ambassadors project, realized in cooperation with the Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG).

Bayer has evaluated the projects of more than 5,000 students in the Bayer Science Competition for high schools, organized for the seventh time this year, which attracted participation from schools all over Türkiye. In addition to its CSR projects, Bayer has undertaken to support the entrepreneurship ecosystem and has been continuing the G4A Türkiye 2021 project for four years. Within the scope of the project, Bayer contributed TRY 2.5 million to the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the past three years.
