Turkish National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler met with Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al Thani in Doha to discuss bilateral and regional defense issues.
According to a statement from the Turkish Defense Ministry, the two officials exchanged views on security and defense cooperation between Türkiye and Qatar.
Following the meeting, ASFAT (Military Factory and Shipyard Management Inc.) and MKE (Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation), two defense industry companies affiliated with the Turkish Defense Ministry, signed comprehensive cooperation protocols with Barzan Holding, which operates under the Qatari Defense Ministry.
The ministry stated that these agreements aim to enhance joint investments and defense collaboration between Türkiye and Qatar, while also facilitating cooperation with third countries mutually agreed upon by both countries.
