Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan signed the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement, establishing a trilateral framework for enhanced security and defense cooperation while reinforcing their long-term strategic partnership. The agreement was signed during the Trilateral Summit held at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The agreement represents a significant milestone in institutionalizing cooperation among the three nations, building on their longstanding political, economic, and defense relations. It aims to strengthen regional stability through closer coordination in collective security, defense industries, military training, and intelligence sharing, while promoting a coordinated response to emerging regional challenges.
