​​​Japan-based Toyota Motor Corporation is one of the leading automakers in the world and, together with its subsidiaries, it produces a full range of models - from compact cars to large trucks. During 2018, global sales of Toyota and Lexus brands, combined with those of Daihatsu and Hino, totaled 10.59 million units on a retail basis. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Türkiye (Toyota Türkiye) is one of Toyota's vehicle production bases in Europe. Located in the northwestern Anatolian province of Sakarya, Toyota Türkiye currently manufactures the C-HR and Corolla models. Since 2002, Toyota Türkiye’s accumulated exports have totaled USD 37 billion. Toyota Türkiye’s cumulative production to date is over 2 million units, and more than 90 percent of its production is allocated for exports to nearly 150 countries. These include Western and Eastern European countries, as well as Middle Eastern, North African, and Central Asian countries and North American countries including the US. Today, with its annual production capacity of 280,000 units, Toyota Türkiye is the largest production plant of Toyota in Europe and is also one of the largest automotive manufacturers and exporters in Türkiye.

Türkiye's geographical location with its young, disciplined, and capable workforce, has made the country the right place for Toyota’s investments. Toyota is pleased to have invested in Türkiye and will continue to produce and export high-quality products. The company’s production and number of employees have scaled in line with increasing investments. Toyota Türkiye has invested USD 2.27 billion since its establishment, and currently has over 5,500 employees. 10 percent of the employees speak Japanese, while the majority of the office employees speak English.
