A sweeping reform process was initiated back in the early 2000s and is continuing even today.

Thanks to the extensive reforms made over the past 18 years, today Türkiye is well below the OECD average in terms of the number of restrictions imposed on foreign investors.​

As a result of recent improvements in business regulations, Türkiye has achieved a remarkable increase in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business rankings – jumping to 33rd place among the 190 benchmarked countries. ​
